Two doors down from the house with the pink door, the purple bench out front and the Trump 2016 sign on the porch there is this cute little 13′ Scamp camper. We thought it was surly a vintage trailer but I looked it up when got home and found they are made to order. Now that the US Women’s soccer team is out of the Olympics we’re thinking maybe we could do a little traveling in one of these.

  1. rich, they always put the propane tank there on every pull trailer, watch the mythbusters where they try to explode propane tanks, like in the movies, and they are very difficult to blow up.

  2. thanks steve. I feel better.
PS I’d like to test that theory with a controlled explosion in my houseboat but I don’t think my insurance will cover it.

  3. My friend M.A. in Minneapolis has a Scamp (they are made in MN). Every fall we drive it somewhere — Theo. Roosevelt National Park in western ND, the Black Hills in western SD, Door County in Wisconsin. She pulls it with an Element. Great little camper. Hers cost $13k new, but she got it half price on Craigslist from a woman who bought it just a year or two earlier brand new and then decided she really wasn’t using it very much.
