Two Siberians at Rochester International Jazz Festival

A lot of people are afraid to sit in the front row. If it was a Suicide or a Contortions show I would be afraid too. They used to scare me but I loved it. We found a couple front row seats at the Little for Two Siberians. They were here eleven years ago so they've been at it a while. Rhythm guitar and violin. You wouldn't think two guys would need a set list but there it was all laid out on the stage in large print, twelve numbered songs and an encore. They had great rhythm and sounded best when they relaxed and slipped out the overdrive Gypsy frenzy mode. About seven songs in, after a a Led Zep pile driver they played a song called Lullaby that was just beautiful. They finished with a Hendrix tribute.
