DODD-Paul J. Dodd of 68 South Washington Street entered into rest Monday. He leaves his widow Mrs. Mary Dodd, one stepdaughter, Mrs Florence VanDenbergh, two brothers Leo and Augustin, one sister Gertrude, Mrs. Edward Dakin, one grand-daughter, several neices & nephewes.
The remains are resting at the Ashton Funeral Home, 636 West Main Street, from where the funeral will be held Thursday morning at 8:30 o'clock and at 9:00 o'clock at St. Peters & Paul's Church. Internment at Holy Seplechur Cemetary. .......................Paul was 49 years old.

....."City Baseball League"..Hudsons defeat Lynnbrooks: 11 to 2. Pitching for the Lynnbrooks was Dodd.".........This was my first find of a Dodd in Rochester Baseball, Paul Dodd would have been 20.

...The City League in 1905 was composed of 8 Teams: Baldwins, Blue Labels, Casinos, Hudsons, Lynnbrooks, Remingtons, Rochester Locals, Woodmen. They played their first game of the season on Sunday June 25, 1905.....by August 21, 1905, the league teams had played 10 games. The League Standings were: Lynnbrooks had a record of Won 3, Lost 5. for .375 Avg.......the Blue Labels were first @ 7 Wins & 1 Loss.
..The Rochester Union Advertiser Newspaper reported on the Eastern League, National League, American League, State League, Empire State League & City League, in the Monday Edition.

The "Rochester Locals" must have changed their name to "Gilsons" sometime early in 1905.
