He’s not funny anymore. The ones who thought he was and now feel otherwise may just be enough to turn this thing around. There is always room for optimism of course but I sense the tide is beginning to turn. Our flirtation with fascism may have run its course. The “I alone can fix it” guy hasn’t fixed anything, unless you count the wide spread discrimination against white people.

He has enriched himself, his family, the tech oligarchs, the oil tycoons and the Middle East Sheikhs. Reagan tried the trickle down (trickle on) theory in the eighties. It didn’t work then and I don’t see any evidence that it is working now. I keep trying to figure out what it is people like about his policies. I am in the dark on this thing.

Eliminating the emissions standards is just plain mean to the earth. Gleefully destroying the progress we have made toward generating green energy is a head scratcher. The world is moving in that direction for a reason and they’ll move on without us.

Our friends in Scotsville organized a gathering to discuss actions we can take locally to help protect what is left of our democracy. Rochester is a sanctuary city so we are probably one of the next targets.
