So much of Long Beach Island is relatively new, having been rebuilt after storms or enlarged upward to maximize summer rental space, that it became a hobby of sorts to find vestiges of its past, the shack-like cottages that old-timers talk about. I noticed three or four of these metal reflectors before photographing this one. I’m guessing it is a reflector made with the least amount of material possible, something that certainly be made out of plastic today. But one can only speculate for so long these days when “search by image” as at your fingertips..
