Just because it was a week ago that we were at DIA Beacon and Storm King doesn’t mean I haven’t gotten over the experience. I particularly liked this Robert Smithson piece.
Our garden is behind our neighbor’s house and he is in the middle of a summer-long project, shoring up a wall that holds back a hill. The railroad ties he used thirty years ago had become one with the earth. He has a pickup and I’m quite sure went out to the quarry in Penfield to pick up this load of stone. We went out there with him years ago when we were putting a french drain in our backyard.
